Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Edgelab is a cryptocurrency trading journal and analytics platform. The Service allows you to log trading positions, import trade data from supported cryptocurrency exchanges, create journal notes, and analyze performance through customizable dashboards.

Edgelab does not provide financial advice, trading signals, or investment recommendations. All trading decisions are solely your responsibility.

2. Account Registration

To use Edgelab, you must create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk). You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Use only one account per person

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription Plans

3.1 Free Tier

Edgelab offers a free tier with limited features, including up to 50 trades per month and up to 5 trading systems. No payment is required for the free tier.

3.2 Premium Subscription

Premium access is available at $19 per month (Monthly Plan) or $99 per year (Yearly Plan). Premium unlocks unlimited trades, notes, and systems, advanced analytics, exchange data import, and additional features.

3.3 Free Trial

New Premium subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required at signup. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment will be collected.

3.4 Billing & Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe. Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes.

By subscribing, you expressly agree that your subscription will automatically renew at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal accessible from your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• You retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period
• No further charges will be made after cancellation
• During the 7-day trial: You will not be charged. If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment will be collected and your subscription will end immediately
• After the trial: No automatic refunds. Refunds for special circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis by contacting support

5. Exchange API Keys

Edgelab allows you to connect cryptocurrency exchange accounts by providing API keys. Regarding API keys:

• All API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption before being stored
• Edgelab strongly recommends using read-only API keys with minimal permissions
• Edgelab only uses API keys to fetch trade data for import purposes
• You are solely responsible for the permissions granted to your API keys
• Edgelab is not liable for any actions taken on your exchange accounts through API keys you provide

6. User Data & Privacy

Your use of Edgelab is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. Your trading data, journal notes, and analytics are stored securely and are only accessible to you.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Use automated scripts to access or scrape the Service without permission
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Use the Service to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models without prior written consent

8. Disclaimers

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of imported trade data and calculations against your exchange records. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Specifically:

• Edgelab does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of trade data imported from exchanges
• Edgelab does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service
• Trading analytics and metrics are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as financial advice
• Edgelab is not responsible for any trading losses or decisions made based on information displayed in the Service

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Edgelab and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid by you to Edgelab in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

Edgelab reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that Edgelab determines, in its sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

Edgelab may update these Terms from time to time. Edgelab will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

12. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Edgelab platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, are owned by Edgelab. You retain full ownership of all data you upload or create within the Service, including trade data, journal notes, and configurations.

13. Data Ownership

Your trading data, journal entries, templates, and all other content you create or import into Edgelab remain your property. Edgelab does not claim any ownership rights over your data and will not use it for any purpose other than providing and improving the Service.

14. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Edgelab. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Edgelab regarding your use of the Service.
